Montane Summer Drop now in store!

We have just received in our summer order of Montane clothing- and I have to say, there are some rather nice pieces!

We are continuing with the Featherlite Smock, which is a super light windproof shell, ideal for cycling and running in the hills. This year we have a new colour- Montane’s signature colour montane spektr smockMoroccan Blue’.

Back by popular demand is the ultra light Montane Spektr Smock. This is probably the world’s lightest waterproof shell with a hydrostatic head of over 20,000mm (260g)! It achieves this by using an extremely light eVent fabric, ditching a traditional zip in favour of a dry bag style roll closure and using elastic in the cuffs, hem and hood. montane alpine stretch

One of our favourite new products in the shop this summer is the Montane Alpine Stretch Jacket; a very light, stretchy and breathable softshell that will be great for spring/summer hill walking, climbing and cycling. It has four huge pockets and will easily swallow maps, compasses etc. You’ll be sure to see staff in these soon!

The Montane Minimus Pants are also back this summer. These Pertex Shield waterproof trousers offer excellent value considering their weight (or lack thereof). They are ideal as emergency over trousers for walking in the hills or for endurance racing. Up and Under staff member Tom used a pair of these last October for the OMM (it rained for pretty much the entirety of the second day) and has used them for mountain biking, and fell running since. He has been very impressed with their performance and despite some hard use they are still going strong.

The Sabretooth Glove is an all-new product for us. It uses a lightweight softshell fabric with fleece inner to create a versatile and tough all round glove for mountain activities.

As well as the products listed here we have other clothing and accessories from Montane. Click here to see our full range of Montane products. We also have a large range of Montane’s new rucksack. Check out the previous blog for more info.
