Bluewave Kayaks arrive at Up and Under, Cardiff

Up and Under, the Cardiff based Canoe and Kayak Store have added the Bluewave range of sit on tops kayaks to our portfolio. Bluewave Kayaks have a simple range that consists of a single seat sit on top kayak, which is called the Crest. There is then a 2-3-seat sit on top kayak that is called the Convoy.

The Bluewave Crest is a single seat sit on top kayak that has a carrying capacity of 120Kg It is ideal for exploring the bay, cruising down your local river and also playing in the waves. There are two versions of the Crest. The first is the Crest package deal and the second is the basic Crest.

The Crest package contains the boat itself, a deluxe backrest and also a two-piece paddle. The boat is then fitted with two storage hatches and a rear tank well for further storage. In the event of capsizing there is a self-bailing hull system. This means you can easily turn the boat back over and climb back on. Front rear and side carry handles make it easy to get to the waters edge. The boat is also fitted with four flush mount rod holders and a central mount for maximum performance when out kayak fishing.

Bluewave have then crated a second version, which is the Crest. This comes as just a boat; there is no paddle and no backrest so that it offers great value for money. This version still comes with the four flush mount rod holders but it does not come with the central rod holder.

The second kayak in the Bluewave range is the Convoy. The Convoy is a 2-3 seat sit on top kayak that is ideal for family use and its capable of carrying up to 240kg. It is ideal for exploring the coast, cruising on your local river or canal and is a great way to get younger children out on the water. There are two versions of the Convoy the first of these is the Convoy package and the second is just the basic convoy.

The Bluewave Convoy package comes complete with the kayak. It also comes supplied with two deluxe backrests and two two-piece paddles. In addition to this there are two flush mounted rod holders on the rear of the kayak, a further 2-rod holders then centrally between the knees of the front and rear seating positions. In the events of a longer trip there are two storage hatches, Once again these are located in between the knees of the front and rear seating position.

Bluewave
have then produced a second version of the convoy kayak, which is the basic version of just the boat itself.  This does not come with the paddles or the back rests, however both of these can be bought on their own if required.
