Rab Bergen Jacket

The latest incarnation of the classic Rab Bergen Jacket has hit the shop floor at Up and Under and is wowing staff and customers alike.

The Rab Bergen Jacket has been around for a good while now and is known and loved by country, hill and mountain walkers primarily for it's longer, more comfortable cut than most others. When you factor in it's excellent level of breathability from its eVent membrane and it's proper bad weather functionality, e.g. an excellent adjustable stiffened hood, two large map pockets, great cuffs, and adjustment cords it is just a great jacket for bad weather and we get more than our share of that in the UK.

This season (autumn winter 2015/16) Rab have released their latest update on the jacket and whilst changing a classic always has us biting our nails in case it gets ruined, in this case we are seriously happy. The cut has remained largely unchanged, but the look of the Bergen is massively improved. Taking more than a little inspiration from our favourite long cut jacket the Arc'teryx Theta AR, the colouring and fine details really do make it look very much like last seasons Theta AR Jacket in Nighthawk and as one of the most attractive mountain walking jackets that we've ever seen this has been a great move on Rab's part.

Some swing tags have Bergen II Jacket on them so we may see Rab changing the name at some point but we will continue to sell them as the Rab Bergen until told otheriwse. But you can purchase from Up and Under with confidence knowing that you will receive the latest version as we have completely sold out of old stock.

So if you have a Rab Bergen Jacket thats on it's last legs then look no further for your replacement, or if you have never tried a Rab waterproof jacket and walk or backpack then this one should be high on your list of ones to try.
