Patagonia Worn Wear - Cardiff - Up and Under

Patagonia Worn Wear - comes to Up and Under in Cardiff

Extending the life of our clothing is the single most important thing we can do to lower our impact on the planet

Patagonia are on a mission to encourage people to think differently about their clothing and to help make their clothes last a lifetime. At each stop, they’ll be offering free repairs on busted zippers, rips, tears, buttons, pulls and more – in addition to teaching people how to fix their own gear.
Patagonia’s Worn Wear program was created in 2013 as a way to encourage people to take good care of their gear, washing and repairing as needed. It’s an extension of a philosophy Patagonia has held for more than 40 years. Worn Wear aims to keep clothing, regardless of brand, in circulation for as long as possible. When it’s time for a replacement, we want you to invest in something that lasts.
The Worn Wear mobile repair van is equipped with an industrial sewing machine and seamstress and will be open to anyone who brings in a garment in need of repair, regardless of brand. The tour will aim to educate visitors about the philosophy behind Patagonia’s Worn Wear program.

Lisa from Patagonia said "We’re excited about bringing Worn Wear to Cardiff in association with Up & Under on Sunday 28th May from 10am – 4pm. Our
Worn Wear team can fix approx. 20 garments per day, and all repairs are made on a first come first served basis with one repair per person. So it’s always good to get to the van early."
