Climbing supplements to Sport Climbing on Gower and New Climbing Developments on Gower

Gower New Developments 2018 and Gower New Developments 2019 are South Wales Climbing Wiki Supplement covering climbs since the South Wales Sport Climbs Rockfax (2016) and are written by Tim Hoddy, Roy Thomas and Alan Rosier, and reprinted in June 2020 by Cockerel Books and Up and Under Outdoor Gear in Cardiff.

The combined guides include over 140 routes (only 8 requiring trad gear) on Veggie Slab, Silent Walls, Calcite Bay, Sinners Walls, Windy Buttress, The Fat Lady Wall, Carbon Slab near Rhosili, Rams Grove Seaward Crag, Saddam's Wall, Sister 2.5, Sister 2.5 Upper, Third Sister Lower and Bottom near Pitton. They are predominantly non-tidal with a maximum approach time of 20 minutes.

The grade spread is <=6a+ 96, 6b-6c+ 65 and 7a-7b 16.

Gower New Developments 2020 follows on from these and has 40 new trad climbs across 4 different crags ranging from M to E2 at Tear's Point, Thurba East Gully, Red Chamber around Rhossili and Pitton and Black Hole Crag near Overton and Holy's Wash Buttress near Oxwich. All have a maximum approach time of 30 minutes.
