Team Up and Under Member Mark Aston, took part in his first 100 mile Ultra Trail Running race a few weeks ago, and, along with a short report on the race, gives us his thoughts on how to approach these events as a 'normal' person.
 
Mark Aston gives us his report on the job of sweeping the Run Walk Crawl Brecon to Cardiff Ultra Marathon. Mark used the sweep as part of his training for a 100 mile race in the summer, and is able to take in more of the views than when in 'race mode'. February was a busy month in the shop. As well as a number of reps coming to see us, and a number of visits to make, we also attended the Run, Walk, Crawl Brecon to Cardiff Ultra, and hosted a climbing shoe demo with Tenaya at local bouldering wall Spot Climbing. We still managed to get out, and members of Team Up and Under could be found in many parts of the UK; including in the Brecon Beacons, the Lakes, South Downs, Scotland, as well as further afield in Chamonix and George L still in Thailand.

#Team Up and Under member Mark Aston gives a review of the the Might Contain Nuts (MCN) December ultra race, held in the Brecon Beacons. A circular loop of well known summits such as Tor y Foel and Pen y Fan, the Ultra course also takes you over Mynydd Llangynidr, past Dolygaer and Storey Arms, giving stunning views along the way - if you're lucky enough to be in condition to take the sights in.

It's that time of year again - the end of April looming, and 2 weeks to go until the Pentych Hill Race. Now in it's 30th year, this is a category BM Fell Race, of 7 Miles (11.02K) length of which 5 Miles (8K) is off-road with 1,600 feet of climbing (488M), and will be held on Tuesday the 28th April.
