1 person Lightweight Backpacking Tent

The Hubba NX Solo is a free-standing 1 person tent ideal for lightweight backpacking, particularly good in hot weather due to good ventilation which is achieved with the upper half of the inner being mesh and a flysheet which isn't close to the ground. It is an inner pitching first tent with a pole structure attaching to the inner and then the outer attaching over the top. This structure is free-standing with only the porch corner needing to being pegged out.

The Hubba NX Solo has a headroom of 91cm and due to the steep pole structure at the head and foot area there is a generous height for the full length of the tent. This might be welcome comfort for extended trips out in the hills.

  • Weight: maximum packed weight 1.29Kg
  • Flysheet: 1200mm hydrostatic head 20D ripstop nylon.
  • Interior height: 91cm
  • packed size: 46 x 15cm
  • Reflective guylines

Rob Smith - Offa's Dyke In One Sitting - A new unsupported FKT

I set out from the official start (or end) of the Offa’s Dyke National Trail in Prestatyn with the intention of running (jogging, hiking and a lot of hobbling) – the 177 miles to the other end of the trail at Sedbury Cliffs, just outside Chepstow. I did finally get there, just over 3 days later, setting what is, for now, a fastest known time for a self-supported completion of the trail.
