Headlamp for Caving or Caving Headlamp

The Fenix HL60R is a highly versatile high powered head torch. However is does make for a great LED caving headlamp. It offers up to 950 lumens of output and also carries an IPX8 waterproof rating; what more can you want.

Fenix has designed the HL60R to feature an aluminium body which is then mounted on an elasticated head strap. The lamp unit is powered by a single 18650 Li-ion battery and can offer power between 1 and 950 lumens. There are 4 other settings that also cover 5, 50, 150 and 450 lumens. All of the lumen vs run times are details below. These are based on using the HL60R with a 2600mAH 18650 battery, however by using it with a 3500mAh 18650 you can add about 30% to these run times.

The HL60R can be recharged in two ways, firstly you can use the Micro USB cable that comes supplied. With this you can plug it into a computer or a USB compatable wall socket. However you can also remove the 18650 battery and then place this into a Fenix battery charger.
