The Petzl Grigri + is an assisted braking belay device that features an anti-panic handle. It is a great choice for belaying your partner whose really trying to push their sports grade, but also for beginners who have just started belaying.

The Grigri + is suitable for both indoor and outdoor climbing with a single rope, and designed for intensive use. It has a reinforced stainless steel friction and wear plate for extra durability, and aluminum front plate and compact design to save weight.

Descent is controlled and comfortable, plus if something unexpected happens the device will stop paying through when the handle is pulled fully back.

There is a choice of belaying mode: top-rope and lead, via a selection knob. This facilitates taking up slack and providing a more comfortable belay.
