Rock Technologies Dry 5 Liquid Chalk has over 70% alcohol / ethanol content and therefore can have disinfectant effects. It is manufactured in the UK and is recommended for use on climbing walls and is also a very good idea during and post Covid-19 for outdoor bouldering / short routes. One application lasts longer than loose or ball chalk, it doesn't negatively effect most rock types, leaves less unsightly marks (reduces blown onsight disappointment), doesn't include potentially skin iritating drying agents and has great health and cleanliness benefits as it doesn't make dust.

Liquid Chalk is particularly useful where you are pushing your limits so may not be able to dip half way through your sequence or for particularly humid environments where this can help more than chalk alone. The improved friction benefits it adds cannot be overlooked by any serious climber and is a must for climbing indoors and competitions!

I did finally get there, just over 3 days later, setting what is, for now, a fastest known time for a self-supported completion of the trail.
