Ice screw with crank handle

The Express screw has been around for years and is a well-trusted design which has seen a few improvements from time to time. The last change was the lengthening of the teeth, the addition of a second clipping point on the hanger and a bevel shape on the colour coded handle for better grip.

The handle allows the screw to be spun in or out of the ice with speed, without changing hand position, which is certainly very welcome in many situations!  The tube of the screw is tapered out so that the teeth cut a slightly larger hole than the tube - this reduces friction during placements.

  • Colour coded handles for size indexing
  • Stainless steel hanger with 2 clipping points
  • Tapered tube for less placement friction
