Mountaineering ice axe

The Cirque is a tried and tested all-round winter walking and classic mountaineering tool. It now comes with a hot forged ergonomic handle with injected plastic - this is grippy, durable and is very effective at insulating the hand from the colder metal shaft.

The tip of the pick has a positive clearance so it can deal with ice pitches too. The Cirque has a T rated  construction for high strength and is made in Snowdonia.

Supplied with the DMM Standard Leash.

We favour the Cirque has a good all-round use mountaineering ice axe, ideal for PD alpine grade routes, and easy winter gullys. Those enrolled onto a winter mountaineering course or winter skills course would do well to consider the Cirque.

  • Hot Forged ergonomic handle
  • T rated construction
  • Hammer versions available upon request
  • Supplied with DMM standard leash
