Auto-locking karabiner

The Edelrid Pure karabiners use i-beam or H-profile construction to create a truly lightweight off-set D shape biner that is ideal for running belays and rigging. The Edelrid Pure Slider turns a snap-gate karabiner into a quick, ergonimcally easy to use auto-locking karabiner that still weighs very little (42g) and can be used to make running belays even more secure, we recommend them for use on slings, sling-draws and for fast efficient belay rigging - alpinists take note.

As Paul Craven says in the film below the Slider mechanism offers "added safety" over a snap-gate and means that you don't have to fiddle with a tricky screw-gate or twistlock barrel to achieve a locked karabiner.

  • 42g
  • 100 x 58 mm dimensions
  • 18mm gate opening
  • Strength: 23kN
  • Crossload strength: 8kN
  • Gate Open Strength: 8kN
