The Yates Pin Head cabled gear puller is used to help remove stubborn piton placements that you can't hammer out. Clip one end to the peg and the other to your hammer and go for it. Keep the krabs that you use for your gear puller for that purpose only as it's hard on gear. Similarly you can use them on other gear like wires and cams but they are pretty aggressive on kit so go gently.
