Allround performance half rope.

Sterling Ropes Evolution series are constructed with the perfect ratio of weight to diameter in mind. This combination enables the manufacture of a firm handling rope that does not soften with use. This handling makes for smooth running through karabiners, smooth belaying and easy clipping.

The Evolution Duetto is an 8.4mm half rope and is built to be lightweight whilst retaining excellent handling, durability and water and abraision resistance. Ice, snow, rock and climbing gear glide smoothly by due to it's smooth and abrasion resistant sheathArid System dry treatment provides a good degree of the ropes protection. It is the combination of a water-resistant coating applied to the sheath fibres combined with DryCore construction. DryCore is a unique core construction that helps the Evolution Duetto 8.4mm half rope to maintain its high strength and excellent elongation ratings even when wet where other ropes will be compromized by the yarn on yarn abrasion of wet nylon.

All these features give the Evolution Duetto a low weight, low bulk, small pack size thats great for routes with long approaches, Alpinism and technical expedition mountaineering. Alternatively it is also ideal for long pitch length trad routes at your upper limit where low weight and drag could be crucial. The Arid System and low Impact Forces also means that it will handle the worst that a Scottish or Alpine winter can throw at you whilst giving that thin ice the best chance of holding a fall.

Remember you need two of these to climb on as they are half ropes, so please order two if you don't already own one and you would be wise to ae sure that they are contrasting colours so you can tell them apart when climbing.
