Allround performance single rope.

Sterling Ropes Evolution series are constructed with the perfect ratio of weight to diameter in mind. They are manufactured to be a firm handling rope that doesn't soften with use. This handling also makes for smooth running through karabiners, smooth belaying and easy clipping.

The Evolution Velocity is a 9.8mm single rope with exactly the right amount of stiffness to stop your rope drooping just as you are making a desperate clip. The sheath is extremely smooth limiting rope drag and giving excellent levels of abrasion resistance. Also featuring Sterling Ropes Arid System dry treatment, with the low weight, durability and handling this is a great allrounder for most climbers being suited to sport, trad, ice, and mixed routes where a single rope is required. However, if you are Chris Sharma then it is a great rope for working 9's, before you go for the redpoint which is when you reach for your Fusion Nano.

Follow this link for information on when to replace your rope .
