Shock absorbing sling designed to limit peak loads and offer added protection in climbing and rescue situations.

Use the Yates Standard Screamer when clipping less than ideal climbing protection, i.e. micro wires, old 8mm bolts and pegs or snow and ice anchors. The ripping effect of the device absorbs energy and increases the time interval of the fall to help reduce peak loading. It activates at >2kN and gives a reduction of 3-4kN to the  system at point of peak loading.

For more information about the forces involved, check out Yates' website here.
