Ice-screw specific shock absorbing quickdraw

Yates climbing make some innovative gear but the Yates Ice-screams are pretty special. They offer the same properties as the standard and shorty screamers, but have the benefit of being designed to attach to the tube of an ice screw thus providing secure shock absorption to half in and bottomed out ice screws by reducing leverage as well as reducing impact.

The Yates Ice-Scream activates at >2kN and gives a reduction of 3-4kN to the  system at point of peak loading.

Every UK winter climber and late season ice specialist should have a couple in their armoury.

Pembrokeshire Coastal Ultra Races

Up and Under are proud to be involved with the 3 Pembrokeshire Coastal Ultra Races in May 2018. Run Britains only Coastal National Trail the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path as a 180m 5 day race. Alternatively run a 100 mile section either in one go or as a 3 day event. Long cut off times mean these events suit runners and long distance walkers alike and are super friendly and serious fun.
