These individual quickdraw tapes (also known as extenders) are for use between 2 karabiners to make a quickdraw. There is a sewn-in 'tadpole' of rubber at one end to accept the karabiner which clips onto the rope; this karabiner is then far less likely to spin around and become cross-loaded by the rope in the event of a fall. Rated at 22kN. The longer lengths are useful for trad climbing, particularly single rope use, as there is less chance of rope drag and rope movement lifting out placed protection.
