Lorpen Insulated Expedition Polartec / Primaloft

Extremely warm sock

Designed for use in extreme conditions but useful for anyone who suffers from cold feet or just needs to boost up their current boots for a one off trip.
 
These socks utilize a Polartec Powerstretch fabric with Synthetic Primloft insulation under the foot and around all of the toes and heel. This mixture gives exceptional warmth and comfort but without too much extra bulk.

Several of our staff now have these socks and have been using them in their winter climbing boots in the UK and at Rjukan in Norway. The feed back from Andy in particular has been brilliant saying that there is a big improvement in the warmth of his feet, something that he particularly suffers with. We have also had a few customers use these to boost up there normal walking boots for treks like Kilimanjaro and Himalayan walks, where you will only be in cold conditions for a few days and insulated mountaineering boots are unnecessary. They can also take your existing mountaineering boots a little higher. Another option that might enable you to go higher again are our Berghaus Yeti Extrem Pro Insulated Gaiters!
