 Women's Waterproof Trousers

These fab trousers are lightweight, breathable and pack down small which is perfect for summer walking, travelling, hikking or even as a commuter set to have just in case.

These waterproof pants have knee height zips that are designed to go over your boots if the rain catches you out, making these an ideal emergency waterproof.

They have a elasticated waist and a raw cord to help with comfort.

What is Pertex Shield+?

These trousers are made using Pertex shield+ 2.5 layer, this means it has a coated backer instead of a bonded fabric backer. This makes it slightly less breathable and durable than the 3 layer but it is lighter and more malleable. These awesome trousers still have a 16000mm hydrostatic head, which competes well with Gore, H2No and Event.

Pertex Shield+ is a PU (polyurethane) membrane which is a ‘solid state membrane’. This means it’s not like a Gore or Event styled membrane, which are more of a weave mesh. The weave mesh allows air flow through the membrane moving moisture out. Pertex Shield+ is more of a solid sheet meaning it has to move moisture in a different way.  It is a hydrophilic membrane which means it attracts water molecules to the membrane itself, in order to push it through the fabric to keep you fresh.  The crazy thing is: The harder you work, the fresher you’ll be!
