3 season trekking boot

The Lowa Camino GTX falls into Lowa's "Index 3" category of boots which are defined as being suitable for long treks and mountain tours. Therefore the Camino will provide good performance for demanding trekking abroad and mountain ground in the UK.  It's easy to see why when you try the boots - the flex is moderate to firm but not too stiff and there is a good lateral support also. There is generous padding at the ankle beneath the nubuk leather upper so the foot feels well held in place. The Camino GTX has a tall cuff which provides more protection than lower cut boots and also lessens the chance of stones etc entering the boot. There is a rubber toe cap to provide protection also.

The Camino has an X-lace system which holds the tongue correctly both vertically and horizontally - see picture - and prevents the tongue slipping to one side for example .  This also evens out lacing pressure across the tongue for greater comfort.

  • Nubuk leather upper
  • Goretex waterproof membrane
  • Vibram sole
  • X-lacing system
  • 1550g/size 8 pair
  • Moderate to firm flex
  • Generous ankle padding
  • Tall cuff
  • Rubber toe cap
