Backpacking rucksack

The Millet Ubic 50+10 is destined to become a favourite and a regular siting around the UK. Why? It fulfills the key things that a backpack needs to do; fit lots of kit inside in an easy to pack and organize manner and provide easy access when required, provide an easy to adjust comfortable, stable carry, last a long time and not weigh too much. The Ubic does this is bags.

The Ubic 50 + 10 has a lid with 2 zipped pockets and 2 main compartments, the lower accessed by a zip and with the capability for the separating panel to be unzipped to use as a single large compartment. There are a number of other pockets including a side zipped bellows pocket, a side stretch pocket, a front zipped pocket and pockets on the hipbelts.

Key features as well as having an extending lid offering an extra 10 litres of capacity are:

Variloop System, this modular system is great for quickly attaching trekking poles, ice axes, skis, snow shoes, tents and bedding roles with minimal fuss and clutter. For full-on backcountry trips you can have poles, axes, skis and snowshoes all on there at the same time and still have a comfy working rucksack (you will probably need your tent and sleep mat inside).
Storm collar with access zip that means when you arrive at camp you can find everything in your pack quickly and easily.
Handrest straps help improve blood circulation in your arms on long days.

For a rucsack with all these features and a comfortable, supportive and easy to adjust, size adjustable backsystem you would normally expect about 2.5kg to be light but at 1.72kg the Ubic is a serious pack for serious backpackers.
