The all-new Deuter Guide 35+ is ideal for winter climbing endeavours such as climbing on Mont Blanc, Ben Nevis or Norwegian ice falls. As well as this the pack is also suitable for less vertical activities such as hill walking
The pack has a tough construction with a removable Aluminium X-Frame for rigidity even when half full (or half empty!) and a detachable hip belt. The back itself is well padded for a mountain pack with good levels of ventilation.
The ice axe attachment points provide secure and robust anchors for your tools and are mroe substantial than those found on many other packs. If you're ski touring on the Haute Route, your skis can easily be stowed using the side straps when not in use. There is a removable rope lashing strap and plenty of other attachment points too including crampon straps, optional helmet carrier and top lid attachment points.
One feature of this pack not often seen on mountaineering packs is the side zip access system. This is very useful when trying to get to buried gear or clothing.
With all these features the Guide 35+ is not the lightest pack on the market (1550g). If however you appreciate a few creature comforts such as the well padded back, side access zip and multitude of attachment points then the new Deuter Guide 35+ is certainly worthy of consideration. It undoubtedly makes the pack more versatile than many of its lighter competitors and makes for a strong all-round prospect

For ladies (or gents with shorter backs) check out the Deuter Guide 30+SL. This pack has all the same great features but is more compact with a shorter back length.
On top of all this, the Deuter Guide 35+ is one of the freshest looking mountain rucksacks we’ve seen in a while and is a great blend of aesthetics and performance.

  • Weight: 1550g
  • Removable, very lightweight multi-chamber aluminium X-frame
  • Detachable Vari Flex hip belt
  • Side zip for easy access to buried items
  • Height adjustable lid with central zipped pocket and valuables pocket
  • Detachable rope lashing strap
  • Compression straps which can be fastened over the middle of the pack
  • Numerous practical attachment options: reinforced ski attachment straps at the side, front crampon straps, new ice axe attachment, top lid attachment rings to store extra gear, gear loops on waist belt
  • Attachment loops for optional helmet holder
  • Size: 72 / 26 / 19 (H x W x D) cm
