Walkers Daypack

The Millet Venom 30 is a 30 litre capacity daysack for hill walking that is designed with fast, light and long distance mountain journeys in mind.

Envisaged by Millet for fast hiking and rapid movement in alpine settings, we think this pack is equally good for scrambles in Snowdonia, day walks in the Brecon Beacons and long treks in the Scottish Highlands. The slender profile enables freedom of movement and a stable carry. The shape helps the load to be transfered to your skeleton rather than your waist well for such a small rucksack. The use of high quality, lightweight, ripstop, 70 denier nylons throughout gives the rucksack low weight, high flexibility and a luxuriant feel whilst this combined with thick reinforcing threads increase durability and tear strength.

The thermo-molded Venom Back™ uses a lightweight polypropylene frame with Ariaprene® foam covered with 3D mesh to provide soft, breathable contact with your body or clothing for maximum comfort and wicking. It is also hypoallergenic, anti-odor, non-toxic and eco-friendly according to Millet. Blimey! The harness itself passes the load through the perforated mesh shoulder straps and hip belt ensuring comfort and mobility. The hipbelt is based on a light climbing harness construction and thus applying the load well to your hips.

In terms of pack features the Venom is stacked but it doesn't suffer from being overly heavy or cluttered. Key features include; the Opposite Opening™ that enables the pack to stand up right when put down and opened, side compression straps and the front elastic compression strap secure the load, with the latter providing further gear storage, a spacious zipped hip belt pocket for on the go feeding, side and front stretch pockets stay flat and keep contents secure, hand rest straps help improve shoulder carry and improve blood circulation in your arms on long days.

Showing proper mountain use intentions there are two ice axe and trekking pole holding systems that make the backpack suite your every need need: the Quick Axe™ features quick access straps that fix the axe's head upwards. The system works with curved and straight ice tools and also functions as a gear holder for speedy pole, mat or sleeping bag storage. The Speed Poles™ system frees your hands very quickly for climbing stiles or scrambly sections where you need your hands but don't want to have to drop your pack to store your poles.

Other features include an internal hydration sleeve and hanging loops, removable raincover in the lid pocket which has extra points for further storage.
