Want to know how to stop midges biting?

The Beaton's Midge Jacket is just the job to stop those pesky midges in their tracks. Recommended by the Forestry Commission as the best type of midge protection available, get one for keeping your sanity against the Scottish midge or for any UK midges or mosquitoes. The jacket allows youto continue to enjoy your outdoor activity even when they are at their worst. We have supplied them to wildlife cameramen who have to lie still for hours in midge ridden woodland, walkers and fisherman in the Highlands of Scotland, climbers who have to stand still belaying at the foot of crags across the UK.

The elasticated base and cuffs, keep the midges from climbing up inside, whilst the hood has a zip that runs right over the top so you can easily put a hat inside or whip it off to devour your fried egg butty.

Norman Carter seal of approval

Midge Jacket Review: Staff members Elan and Norman have them extensively in the Highlands and Islands of Scotland. After he paddled the Caledonian Canal Norman stated: Life was made bearable by this great, essential bit of kit. Even with the hood on I could sit on the lochside in the evening and drink a glass of red wine through the mesh". Norman favoured wearing the jacket with a peaked  / baseball cap underneath it.

  • fine mesh
  • large zippable hood
