RFID Security Travel Wallet

An ideal wallet for everyday use and for travelling. This little gem has all your classic wallet compartments that your used to, but has a few extra things to make your life easier if you take it travelling:

  • A double note compartment makes it easier for keeping your home currency notes and travel currency notes separate.
  • Two separate change pockets, keeping currency in different pockets makes it so much easier and hassle free.
  • RFID protected card slots - These are great for at home and abroad as the problems are increasing all over the world.

Feature that make it easy to use:

  • The wallet is a great size for stashing in your trouser pocket, but big enough to handle easily.
  • The Velcro closure is easy to put on and undo yet still very secure.
  • The zip pulls are fabric cord making it easier to pull with gloves on.
  • The coin pouch is gusseted creating an easier access to your loose change at the bottom of the pocket.

NOW the BIG question!!!! Why do we need RFID protection?

If you look on the web long enough you will see plenty of opinions on this matter. But the basic facts and stats will help us show you why we think this is important.

Statistics from http://www.theukcardsassociation.org.uk/contactless_contactless_statistics/

Show us that between March 2015 and 2016 there was a 35.6% increase in contactless cards in the UK alone.  £1,508.4m was spent in March 2016 alone, a whopping 249.9% increase over the year.

That’s a significant increase in card use and RFID availability. The availability of the scanners to commit fraud has also increased, they are available on some well-known websites to buy for as little as £30.

In the UK there is a limit spend currently (June 2016) for £30 in one transaction, but if you are abroad this is not the case. If you’re popping over the sea to Europe there isn’t a limit.

Also when used in a foreign currency in the UK there is no limit currently (June 2016).

How this RFID stuff works:

This image on your card shows that it it is RFID Activated:

The common ways that the card details can be extracted:

The RFID protection shields the contents from radio frequency identification (RFiD) readers by stopping the information being transmitted through the nickel and copper coated polyester fabric, reducing the risk of identity theft.

The video below gives some simple information on this and the products available to help keep your information safe:
