Belay karabiner

The Edelrid HMS Strike FG is a screwgate locking karabiner that is great for belaying. The shape works perfectly with the Edelrid Mega Jul for assisted breaking belaying .The FG relates to the wire clip that sits at the base of the karabiner that will hold the HMS Strike in the correct orientation on your belay loop, or will keep the krab retained correctly on a lanyard or cowstail.
The keylock nose means no snagging when clipping and unclipping, whilst the H-profile construction means maximum strength for minimum weight as displayed by the 70g weight and 22kN strength.

  • 70g
  • Spring bar holds carabiner in place preventing cross loading
  • Keylock nose for smooth clipping and unclipping
  • H-Profile construction for best possible use of material
  • Physical dimension (mm) : 100 x 70
  • Gate opening (mm) : 21
  • Correct loading (kN) : 22
  • Cross Loading (kN) : 8
  • Gate Open (kN) : 7

January Staff Newsletter

January saw us starting to get into the swing of things again. A little snow saw many of the team in the Beacons, as well as further afield with trips to the Peak District, Cheddar Gorge and Pembrokeshire all squeezed in. New Years day allowed few of us to get out (even if the weather wasn't great in South Wales) but a number were in still Snowdonia and elsewhere where it was a little nicer.
