Steel Carabiner or Auto Locking Steel Carabiner

The DMM 12mm Klettersteig is a steel carabiner that offers very high levels of strength whilst also combining a large gate opening so its easy to clip on and off steel cables for use on a Via Ferrata.

DMM has designed this locking steel carabiner to feature a 12mm bar construction. This is then cold forged and also uses heat treated carbon steel to give the highest levels of strength. The steel karabiner is then zinc plated which helps to give it the  highest levels of protection against corrosion. There are three gate mechanisms on this steel carabiner and they are; a traditional "screwgate", a two way "kwiklock" and also a triple locking "locksafe" option. Which ever system you opt for will easily allow for a 25mm gate opening. This large gate opening then makes it really easy for clipping steel cables and and staples on a Via Ferrata.

January Staff Newsletter

January saw us starting to get into the swing of things again. A little snow saw many of the team in the Beacons, as well as further afield with trips to the Peak District, Cheddar Gorge and Pembrokeshire all squeezed in. New Years day allowed few of us to get out (even if the weather wasn't great in South Wales) but a number were in still Snowdonia and elsewhere where it was a little nicer.
