Light, strong, durable sling

So you want a sling thats light and thin enough to not take up half your pack. But nylon needs to be broad for strength so it's bulky and heavy, so what you need is dyneema. The problem with dyneema is that it fluffs up easily so isn't very durable and it has no shock absorbancy so has some safety issues if not used correctly, i.e. we recommend always having some rope between you and your dyneems sling. But wait a minute whats this Edelrid Tech Web Sling? It has a high-strength Dyneema® core to keep weight to a minimum, that is wrapped in a light nylon sheath to provide abrasion protection for the core and improved grip.

Now you can have you cake and eat it.

Edelrid added safety to the fore.

January Staff Newsletter

January saw us starting to get into the swing of things again. A little snow saw many of the team in the Beacons, as well as further afield with trips to the Peak District, Cheddar Gorge and Pembrokeshire all squeezed in. New Years day allowed few of us to get out (even if the weather wasn't great in South Wales) but a number were in still Snowdonia and elsewhere where it was a little nicer.
