Short Sleeved Canoe Cag or Short Sleeved Paddle Top

The Yak Fusion is a short sleeved paddle top that is ideal for summer kayaking expeditions to the French Alps. For summer paddling sessions you may also wish to compliment the fusion with items such as the Immersion Reseach Neo Lined Guide Short. For summer paddling trips where it is a bit colder or you may want better levels of protection from the sun, you may wish to look at the Yak Force Paddle Top.

Yak have designed the Fusion to be great for white water kayaking but it has also been a very popular cag for canoe polo when playing on outdoor pitches.

The Fusion features a super stretch neoprene neck that is very easy to get on and off. While it is not a dry cag it will keep a reasonable amount of the water out. The cag then includes a set of neoprene bicep seals that once again offer good levels of comfort and again also keep reasonable levels of water out. Finally there is a double waist system that works really well with a neoprene spraydeck to help create a good seal. This is really handy as in the event of a capsize when you recover with an Eskimo Roll you will hopefully stay a bit drier.

The fusion paddle top is also designed to have a front pocket. Internally within the pocket there is then a small d ring that is ideal for securing your Aquapac Keymater to. (The keymaster is ideal for offering protection to your car keys from the water) While the pocket is finished with a weather tight zip the pocket is not waterproof. In the event of water getting into the pocket there are some small laser cut drain holes that will allow any water to drain out. Finally on the tops of the arms / shoudlers there is some reflective piping that will offer better levels of visability when paddling in the dark at locations such as Cardiff International White Water.

The Force paddle top features a semi dry neoprene neck, it then includes a pair of latex wrists. The latex wrists are then protected by a pair of neoprene outer cones. Finally there is then a twin waist system that is ideal for creating a good seal with a neoprene spraydeck or a pair of semi dry trosuers.
