Drysuit for Canoeing or Sea Kayaking Drysuit

The Peak UK Adventure One Piece is a versatile kayaking drysuit, it works equally as well for sea kayaking as it does for Open Canoeing. Whether you are out for a day or your on a multi-day trip this will keep you warm and comfortable even in the harshest of conditions.

Peak UK has designed this kayaking suit to be made from a tough and durable 4 layer fabric, it is then reinforced in the key wear areas, these areas being the elbows, knees ankles and the seat. The adventure one piece is easy to get on and off due to the rear access zip that runs across the top of the shoulders. Peak UK have opted to use a TiZip 5mm zip as it works well and does not make the suit to restrictive in the shoulders. Once into the suit your feet are protected by fabric socks. The efficiency of fabric socks is good, as well as they are well looked after and you wear them with protective kayaking footwear. The wrists seals are a double system. Internally there are latex seals, these are then protected by a neoprene / fabric Velcro adjustable outer seal. While the neck seal features a double layered neoprene cone which also features the Peak UK Aquaout strap which helps to create an enhanced seal. This neck seal then is backed up by a large collar, the volume  of the collar is controlled by a  zip. The collar then leads into a large hood, this comes fitted with a stiffened peak, a rear volume adjuster and two further adjusters that create a great seal around the face. The chest has two large pockets, these are easily accessed even when wearing a PFD. However the design and positioning of these works very well with a Peak UK PFD. The double waist system is designed to work well and create a good seal with a kayak sprayskirt.  For enhanced visibility while on nighttime kayaking trips, there is reflective detailing on the arms and also the peak of the hood.

    February Staff Newsletter

February was a busy month in the shop. As well as a number of reps coming to see us, and a number of visits to make, we also attended the Run, Walk, Crawl Brecon to Cardiff Ultra, and hosted a climbing shoe demo with Tenaya at local bouldering wall Spot Climbing. We still managed to get out, and members of Team Up and Under could be found in many parts of the UK; including in the Brecon Beacons, the Lakes, South Downs, Scotland, as well as further afield in Chamonix and George L still in Thailand.
