Canyoning Boots or Boots for Water Rescue

The Bestard Canyon Guide are the ultimate boots for water rescue; they also make the perfect boots for Coasteering. They have a Vibram sole unit and a self-draining upper; the boots are easily secured via a simple but effective lacing system.

Bestard have designed the Canyon Guide especially for Watersports such as Canyoning. It is also a great boot for Coasteering and they are also perfect Ghyll scrambling shoes.

The design of the Canyon Guide has a specific last for Watersports which offers plenty of volume. There is enough space to get a 3-5mm neoprene sock or a thick walking sock along with a fabric or latex drysuit sock. A number of Up and Under staff have tried it on and they all find it to be fairly true for sizing, possibly half a size to big.

Bestard have built this Canyoning boot to feature a Vibram sole unit that incorporates an Idrogrip and EVA sole. This sole unit is exclusive to Bestard. It has a number of great features which are detailed below. The upper of the boot is then made from a tough durable mesh which is faced with Cordura. Around the edges of the boot there is then a rubber rand which protects the Cordura. On the top of the boot there is then an anti-debris ankle gaiter. The top of this then features a toggle to tension it perfectly around your ankle.

February Staff Newsletter

February was a busy month in the shop. As well as a number of reps coming to see us, and a number of visits to make, we also attended the Run, Walk, Crawl Brecon to Cardiff Ultra, and hosted a climbing shoe demo with Tenaya at local bouldering wall Spot Climbing. We still managed to get out, and members of Team Up and Under could be found in many parts of the UK; including in the Brecon Beacons, the Lakes, South Downs, Scotland, as well as further afield in Chamonix and George L still in Thailand.
