Palm Descender

Kayaking Shoes or Watersports Footwear

The new Palm Descender is a great choice of shoe for white water paddling. It has a good stiff sole and enough protection to look after you on rugged terrain but is flexible enough to fit in most river running kayaks comfortably.

The shoe is made from neoprene but is reinforced with rubber to add protection and rigidity. Palm's new Diamond Traction sole will offer great wet grip and help you stay on your feet during tricky walk ins and portages. It will also give you the confidence to move quickly in a rescue situation.

The inside of the shoe is thermofibre lined for warmth and comfort and allows the shoe to slip on with ease. This is also aided by the tabs on the front and back of the mouth of the shoe. There is foam padding on the ankle to give protection when exiting the boat in the case of a swim or from rocks.

The dual velcro adjustment straps help ensure a snug, secure fit and ensure the shoe won't come off in the event of a swim.

The Descender is a great compliment to drysuits and pants (such as the sidewinder) with fabric or latex socks or on their own for summer use. For extra warmth consider adding some Palm Ti Socks underneath the shoes.
