Kayak Racing Paddles or Wing Kayak Paddle

The Streamlyte Glide Elite is a wing kayak paddle that is ideal for sprint kayaking; they are also very popular for use with surf life saving racing skis.

Streamlyte has designed the Glide Elite kayak racing paddles to features carbon blades that have a high performance foil shape. The blades are available in three sizes for the optimum levels of performance. They come supplied on a two piece carbonpaddle shaft and feature a leverlock kayak paddle joint. The Leverlock kayak paddle joint does several jobs; firstly it splits the paddle in two. It also alters the angle of feather and also the hand from right to left. The final job it does is to change the length of the paddle by up to 10cm.

So a Streamlyte Glide Elite Leverlock paddle that is sized at "210 Adjustable" can be used as 210 and set at 60 degrees, however it can also be lengthened  to 215 or right up to 220cm, you can then change the angle through a variety of angles of feather such as 40, 45, 60 degrees etc.

A little snow saw many of the team in the Beacons, as well as further afield with trips to the Peak District, Cheddar Gorge and Pembrokeshire all squeezed in. New Years day allowed few of us to get out (even if the weather wasn't great in South Wales) but a number were in still Snowdonia and elsewhere where it was a little nicer.

December Staff Round Up

This December didn't see us out and about quite so much. It's our busiest time of the year, so it all hands to the deck and with most Annual Leave used up by now. However, we all still managed to fit something in, and the Christmas period gives us all a few days off where the shop is closed, meaning traditional Boxing Day / New Years Eve/Day walks/swims/runs/paddles are all fitted in.
