White Water Kayak Rescue Kit or Kayaking Carabiner

The Whetman Equipment krab stick is a simple device that is ideal for keeping in your kayak safety kits. This simple piece of engineering will secure to a kayaking carabiner to hold the gate open.

Whetman Equipment chief designer Steve Whetman has designed and developed the krab stick after many many years of paddling experience. It is available in two size options and will also secure to the carabiner with a short length of rope. This krab stick is designed to hold the carabiner gate open, you can then simply hook the required item. The krab stick will then fall out of place and the carabiner will close to regain it's full strength.

February Staff Newsletter

February was a busy month in the shop. As well as a number of reps coming to see us, and a number of visits to make, we also attended the Run, Walk, Crawl Brecon to Cardiff Ultra, and hosted a climbing shoe demo with Tenaya at local bouldering wall Spot Climbing. We still managed to get out, and members of Team Up and Under could be found in many parts of the UK; including in the Brecon Beacons, the Lakes, South Downs, Scotland, as well as further afield in Chamonix and George L still in Thailand.
