Kayak Safety Gear or Kayak Safety Kit

The Whetman Equipment ring pull prussik is a perfect additon to any kayak safety kit. This prussik loop is ideal for a fast and easy way of gripping a rope to assist in a rescue situation.

Whetman Equipment has designed this prussik loop to be made from 16/16 braid polyester cord with a 6mm diameter. This is then secured with a double fisherman’s knot. It also features a 6mm stainless steel ring for added versatility. The steel ring is then held in place with a super tough rubber band. The overall length of the units is 33cm. This prussik loop is a fast and easy way of getting extra traction on a wet rope in any rescue situation.

February Staff Newsletter

February was a busy month in the shop. As well as a number of reps coming to see us, and a number of visits to make, we also attended the Run, Walk, Crawl Brecon to Cardiff Ultra, and hosted a climbing shoe demo with Tenaya at local bouldering wall Spot Climbing. We still managed to get out, and members of Team Up and Under could be found in many parts of the UK; including in the Brecon Beacons, the Lakes, South Downs, Scotland, as well as further afield in Chamonix and George L still in Thailand.
