Kayaks and Kayak Equipment

So you're thinking of a closed cockpit or sit-in kayak, but the choice is not always easy. Several types of boat fall into this range, depending on what discipline you want to explore. There are straight forward river runners, river players, out and out playboats and creek boats. Ideal entry level kayaks are can generally be found under river. Entry level flat water boats can be found in touring, but if you're looking for something a little longer, something for gentle flat water cruising, you need to be looking at our Sea and Touring section, and if you don't like the trapped in feel of a closed cockpit craft, then Sit on Tops, or Open Canoes are for you.

We also stock a range of Inflatable kayaks, which can be an excellent choice if you're short on storage space or can't find a  roof rack for your vehicle.

In the Kayaking section you can also find any accessories that you need, whether it's for refitting your backrest, getting the right airbags or finding the right paddle for your craft.

February Staff Newsletter

February was a busy month in the shop. As well as a number of reps coming to see us, and a number of visits to make, we also attended the Run, Walk, Crawl Brecon to Cardiff Ultra, and hosted a climbing shoe demo with Tenaya at local bouldering wall Spot Climbing. We still managed to get out, and members of Team Up and Under could be found in many parts of the UK; including in the Brecon Beacons, the Lakes, South Downs, Scotland, as well as further afield in Chamonix and George L still in Thailand.
