Recreational Kayak or Kayak for Recreational use

The Dagger Katana is the perfect kayak for recreational use. It is available in two different sizes for the near perfect fit and is a great boat to paddle. For a more basic version of the Katana E, check out the Katana C and for a higher spec version checkout the Katana.

Dagger has designed the katana as highly versatile recreational kayak that will go anywhere and do anything, It is ideal for gentle river exploration, easy white-water kayaking and on a nice calm day its also great for some gentle coastal kayaking.

The Katana is available in two sizes, the 9.7 and also the 10.4. The Katana 9.7 is suitable for the majority of paddlers and is capable of carrying up to 102Kg while the Katana 10.4 is the ideal kayak for the large paddler and will carry up to 136Kg.

Dagger has really focussed on the fixtures and fittings of the Katana E. It incorporates a large easy access cockpit and this is also fitted with adjustable thigh braces and a very comfy padded kayak backrest. Internally within the cockpit area, there is a large ergonomic seat that also features a seat pad. The rear of the seat then includes gear loops to secure things to. The front of the kayak includes a bulkhead footrest, offering protection and safety for white-water kayaking. The rear of the kayak had a foam bulkhead and this creates a large area for storage, which is easily accessed via the Oval Domed kayak hatch that clips on and off. The other main feature of the Katana E is the rear drop down skeg; this really does help to assist with the tracking of the kayak. Other features of the Katana E are the front and rear grab handles, left hand side drain plug for the main cockpit area and also the rear security bat that is located just behind the cockpit.

February Staff Newsletter

February was a busy month in the shop. As well as a number of reps coming to see us, and a number of visits to make, we also attended the Run, Walk, Crawl Brecon to Cardiff Ultra, and hosted a climbing shoe demo with Tenaya at local bouldering wall Spot Climbing. We still managed to get out, and members of Team Up and Under could be found in many parts of the UK; including in the Brecon Beacons, the Lakes, South Downs, Scotland, as well as further afield in Chamonix and George L still in Thailand.
