Split White Water Paddle or Werner Paddle

The Werner Powerhouse is a mid range kayak paddle that is perfect for white water, kayak surfing and some playboating. This powerhouse features a straight shaft with glass blades. The 4 piece version is a split kayak paddle that is designed for emergency use, being small enough that it can fit into most river running kayaks.

WernerPaddles have designed the Powerhouse to be very similar to the Sherpa. The only difference is the powerhouse has larger blades. The blades are made from a continuous weave glass fibre cloth, while the shaft is made from a blend of glass fibre and carbon. The powerhouse is available in several different lengths and two different feathers. On the prominent hand of the paddle, you will find that Werner has then shaped this to an oval where you grip it.

  • Blades:-
  • Continuous Weave Glass Fibre.
  • Full Sized Blades.
  • Blade area - 720 Square Cm.
  • Blade size - 48 x 19.5cm.
  • --------------------
  • Shaft:-
  • Fibreglass / Carbon Blend Shaft.
  • Push button spigots for the split

February Staff Newsletter

February was a busy month in the shop. As well as a number of reps coming to see us, and a number of visits to make, we also attended the Run, Walk, Crawl Brecon to Cardiff Ultra, and hosted a climbing shoe demo with Tenaya at local bouldering wall Spot Climbing. We still managed to get out, and members of Team Up and Under could be found in many parts of the UK; including in the Brecon Beacons, the Lakes, South Downs, Scotland, as well as further afield in Chamonix and George L still in Thailand.
