The Sherpa is an exceptionally smooth and responsive river running design. The mid size blades are evenly balanced to create a clean catch that is powerful and smooth throughout the entire stroke. Mid size blades are powerful but won't wear you out. Balanced blade design for smooth strokes. Ideal for all round river running and moderate play boating.

Watch most all creek boat videos today, or footage where the paddler is being swallowed by massive holes amidst canyon walls. Now what paddle do they have? Trusted on the hardest runs in the world and those firing up the hardest line on their local run are the Werner river running paddles. The Sherpa and its larger counterpart the Powerhouse offer Bomber reliability, tested and proven where it counts.

If you like running rivers and ripping up a wave or two, the Sherpa is a great choice.

•The Sherpa's mid-size blades are great all around river runners
•Balanced blade design is smooth and powerful from catch to release
•Extremely light weight and responsive
•Werner's legendary bomber strength

Surface Area 680 sq cm

Straight Shaft
•More traditional feeling and generally less expensive.
•The lightest weight option available.
•Continuous length allows for easy hand movement.

  • Premium Performance uses material choice and manufacturing skill to allow for a perfect combination of light swing weight and stiffness. Fiberglass blade construction gives you a compromise between swing weight and value.
  • The precise blade shape for a more efficient forward stroke. The moves you need to make river running, the obstacles you need to work around, made easier with Werner designs.
  • Dihedral allows for smooth and stable forward paddling, a core philosophy for Werner.
  • Custom shaped, low profile, reinforcement spine allows for enhanced blade maneuverability when linking several strokes and provides blade stiffness and overall strength.
  • Mid-sized blades are an ideal fit for the great majority of average size paddlers.
  • Optimized flex and strength. Designed for your body to feel strain free without giving up Bomber reliability.
  • Fiberglass Straight or carbon Neutral Bent shaft in Standard Diameter or Small Diameter.
  • Feather Angle: 1-piece options- unfeathered, Right hand control or left hand control, up to 90 degrees, in 5 degree increments. 2-piece and 4-piece- R45/0/L45 or R30/L30. R45 is our most popular in river running and R30 in play boating.

February Staff Newsletter

February was a busy month in the shop. As well as a number of reps coming to see us, and a number of visits to make, we also attended the Run, Walk, Crawl Brecon to Cardiff Ultra, and hosted a climbing shoe demo with Tenaya at local bouldering wall Spot Climbing. We still managed to get out, and members of Team Up and Under could be found in many parts of the UK; including in the Brecon Beacons, the Lakes, South Downs, Scotland, as well as further afield in Chamonix and George L still in Thailand.
