Carbon Touring Paddle

The Corryvrecken is ideal for aggressive high angle touring paddlers who enjoy a powerful catch. The large blade provides excellent power and a lovely smooth stroke. This paddle is more suitable for larger paddlers as it could induce fatigue over long distances in smaller paddlers. If this is you consider the Shuna instead.

Carbon fibre construction offers incredible stiffness and low weight. It has very high tensile strength. This means more power per stroke. However it has lower impact resistance than glass fibre and is therefore more brittle.

All Werner touring paddles come with an adjustable ferule (the angle of the paddle blades) system. It allows adjustment in 15degree increments allowing you to fine tune your paddle for comfort and varying wind conditions.

  • Large High Angle blade with a powerful catch
  • Slight dihedral for smooth linking strokes
  • Adjustable Ferrule system
  • Available in carbon or traslucent fiberglass.
  • Surface Area: 710 sq cm
  • Blade Length x Width: 49 x 20cm
  • Weight for 210cm Straight Shaft: 751g/26.5oz

February Staff Newsletter

February was a busy month in the shop. As well as a number of reps coming to see us, and a number of visits to make, we also attended the Run, Walk, Crawl Brecon to Cardiff Ultra, and hosted a climbing shoe demo with Tenaya at local bouldering wall Spot Climbing. We still managed to get out, and members of Team Up and Under could be found in many parts of the UK; including in the Brecon Beacons, the Lakes, South Downs, Scotland, as well as further afield in Chamonix and George L still in Thailand.
