Sea Kayaking Paddles or High Angle Kayak Paddle

The Werner Shuna is a high angle kayak paddle that is perfect for longer distance sea kayaking trips. The paddle features fibreglass blades and a straight fibreglass /carbon blended paddle shaft.

Werner has designed the Shuna sea kayaking paddle with a number of great features. The first of those is the, multi-layer fibreglass blades, these are quote stiff for enhanced power and they also offer good levels of durability. The second and great feature of the Shuna kayak paddle is the glass / carbon blended paddle shaft. Not only is this strong and comfortable to handle, it is also avavailable in two different diameters. The centre of the paddle shaft then incorporates the Werner Smart view ferrule system. This not only gives you the option to switch from right handed paddles to left-handed, but you can also trim the feature to suit the prevailing wind conditions. The paddles blades of the shuna fall into the mid-sized category which is comparable to the Werner Tybee FG.

There are also three other variants of the Shuna, you can have it with carbon blades on a straight shaft, Glass blades on a cranked shaft and also carbon blades on a cranked shaft.

February Staff Newsletter

February was a busy month in the shop. As well as a number of reps coming to see us, and a number of visits to make, we also attended the Run, Walk, Crawl Brecon to Cardiff Ultra, and hosted a climbing shoe demo with Tenaya at local bouldering wall Spot Climbing. We still managed to get out, and members of Team Up and Under could be found in many parts of the UK; including in the Brecon Beacons, the Lakes, South Downs, Scotland, as well as further afield in Chamonix and George L still in Thailand.
