Sea Kayak Safety Equipment or Emergency Light

The Scotty sea-light is ideal for night time kayaking trips. It comes with a 20" pole to elevate it from the kayak and this also secures it to the kayak through a Scotty 241 Mount.

Scotty has designed this waterproof safety light to be easy to operate; it simply twists to turn on or off. Once the unit is on the light it emits can be seen from a range of 2 miles. This safety light runs from 2 AA batteries and will give about 8 hours of light. The light also features a small clip that will secure to a life jacket if required. This sea-light is mounted on a 20" pole that incorporates a Scotty post mount on the base. This gives you the option to then mount it though and other Scotty mounts that you have on your kayak. This will then hold it firm and secure it the toughest of conditions.

February Staff Newsletter

February was a busy month in the shop. As well as a number of reps coming to see us, and a number of visits to make, we also attended the Run, Walk, Crawl Brecon to Cardiff Ultra, and hosted a climbing shoe demo with Tenaya at local bouldering wall Spot Climbing. We still managed to get out, and members of Team Up and Under could be found in many parts of the UK; including in the Brecon Beacons, the Lakes, South Downs, Scotland, as well as further afield in Chamonix and George L still in Thailand.
