Carbon Sea Kayak Paddle or Bent Shaft Sea Kayak Paddle

The Werner Corryvreckan Carbon crank is a high specification sea kayaking paddle. It has a two piece paddle shaft with an adjustable central joint. It also features a full carbon construction that gives a good level of stiffness which equates to plenty of power.

Werner has designed the Corryvreckan as a high angle style kayak paddle that incorporates full sized blades. The blades then feature a multi-layer carbon construction. These are then mounted on a carbon cranked paddle shaft. The shaft features a kayak paddle joint kit, known as the Werner Smart view ferrule system. This has a few features, the first of these is the ability to adjust the hand options from right hand to left hand. It also then gives the option to change the angle of feather from 15, 30, 45 and 60 degrees. The paddle shaft can also be split into two pieces for ease of storage on the deck of your kayak so it can be used as an emergency paddle. The final feature is that the paddle shaft is fitted with a pair of kayak drip guards. This helps to prevent the water running down the paddle shaft onto the hands or dripping into the kayak.

February Staff Newsletter

February was a busy month in the shop. As well as a number of reps coming to see us, and a number of visits to make, we also attended the Run, Walk, Crawl Brecon to Cardiff Ultra, and hosted a climbing shoe demo with Tenaya at local bouldering wall Spot Climbing. We still managed to get out, and members of Team Up and Under could be found in many parts of the UK; including in the Brecon Beacons, the Lakes, South Downs, Scotland, as well as further afield in Chamonix and George L still in Thailand.
