Electronic Distress Flare or Emergency Distress Flares

The Ocean Signal Electronic distress flare is a great piece of safety rescue kit. A perfect addition to a set of flares for sea kayaking, this is small, compact, lightweight and easy to use.

Ocean Signal has designed this electronic distress flare to be able to perform in the harshest of conditions. Featuring 360 degrees of intensive lighting, a 7 mile range of visibility, a working duration of 6 hours and also being waterproof to 10m this will really help for a fast and efficient rescue. The unit is also designed to be able to work within a really wide temperature range of -20C right through to +55c. Making it ideal for Arctic sea kayaking tours that pass through the middle east! There are then 4 different lighting modes and also an SOS signaling mode. This is a great piece of kayak safety gear that works well alongside your traditional safety flares.

February Staff Newsletter

February was a busy month in the shop. As well as a number of reps coming to see us, and a number of visits to make, we also attended the Run, Walk, Crawl Brecon to Cardiff Ultra, and hosted a climbing shoe demo with Tenaya at local bouldering wall Spot Climbing. We still managed to get out, and members of Team Up and Under could be found in many parts of the UK; including in the Brecon Beacons, the Lakes, South Downs, Scotland, as well as further afield in Chamonix and George L still in Thailand.
