Touring Kayak or Cross Over Kayak

The Dagger Axis E is a touring kayak that is ideal for all types of paddler. Whether you’re a new comer to the sport and you want a beginners kayak or you’re an existing paddler who wants to do some fast down river touring the Dagger Axis E will do the job.

Dagger Kayaks have designed the Axis E to be highly versatile kayak. Its rounded hull is very forgiving for the new paddler but its slight rail on each side will make it a bit more interesting for the experienced paddler. It features a bit of keel line that runs through to a moulded in skeg at the rear and this will ensure that the boat cuts through the water with ease. It also has a reasonable amount of rocker that will give good levels of manoeuvrability. To ensure that on longer flat trips you can get efficient tracking there is a retractable skeg that is located in the rear of the hull.

The Axis E has a good-sized cockpit that is easy to get in and out. Internally within the cockpit area there is a set of adjustable thigh braces, which will help to give greater levels of control while paddling. Further support and control is achieved by the adjustable footrests that are located in the front of the kayak.

Dagger have made the axis to be highly versatile and user friendly and with this in mind there is a rear bulkhead and kayak hatch that is ideal for storage. Further levels of storage are located on the front and rear deck, due to the deck elastics. In conjunction with the front deck elastics there is then a deck mounted mesh pocket. This is ideal for the storage of a drinks bottle! Man handling the boat to the waters edge is undertaken with ease due to the front and rear kayak grab handles.
