3 Person Sit On Top Kayak or Tandem Sit On Top

The Ocean Kayak Malibu Two XL is a tandem sit on top kayak that also has a third seat ideal for children. The maximum carrying capacity is 226Kg. Its perfect for exploring the coast line and also gentle river trips.

For a smaller more compact version for just two paddlers, have a look at the Ocean Kayak Malibu Two.

Ocean Kayak has designed the Malibu Two XL to be a perfect sit on top kayak for families. It is a really safe kayak to use as it features a self-bailing hull system. So if you do have the misfortune to capsize, you can simply turn the kayak back over and climb back on. The water will then drain straight out through the moulded in scupper (drain) holes. If you are paddling on a lake you can easily seal these by simply adding a set of Scupper Stoppers.

The Malibu Two XL features a multi purpose-seating configuration. There is a front seat, Centre seat and a rear seat. The rear seat is best for the larger paddler, the front seat for the next larger paddler and the centre seat is perfect for children. The kayak also features front, rear and side carry handles. These really help to ease the burden of getting it to and from the waters edge.

This sit on top kayak also has lots of space for transporting a kayak dry bag. There is also the option of adding a round Gaspachi Hatch to a specially moulded section of the kayak between the front and rear seating positions. However there is also the option of adding an oval Gaspachi hatch, which gives greater storage. This is located adjacent to the centre seat.

February Staff Newsletter

February was a busy month in the shop. As well as a number of reps coming to see us, and a number of visits to make, we also attended the Run, Walk, Crawl Brecon to Cardiff Ultra, and hosted a climbing shoe demo with Tenaya at local bouldering wall Spot Climbing. We still managed to get out, and members of Team Up and Under could be found in many parts of the UK; including in the Brecon Beacons, the Lakes, South Downs, Scotland, as well as further afield in Chamonix and George L still in Thailand.

January Staff Newsletter

January saw us starting to get into the swing of things again. A little snow saw many of the team in the Beacons, as well as further afield with trips to the Peak District, Cheddar Gorge and Pembrokeshire all squeezed in. New Years day allowed few of us to get out (even if the weather wasn't great in South Wales) but a number were in still Snowdonia and elsewhere where it was a little nicer.
