Sit On Kayak With Skeg or Best Sit On Top Kayak

The Tootega Kinetic 100 is possibly the best sit on top kayak available. This sit on top kayak with skeg, features a highly versatile performance hull shape that's ideal for kayak surfing, while the retractable kayak skeg gives great directional stability which makes it ideal for kayak touring.

Tootega has designed the Kinetic 100 to feature a high performance hull that is designed to work well for kayak surfing and also kayak touring. This sit on kayak really does bridge the gap that may sit on kayaks don't! This 10 foot sit on top kayak incorporates a self bailing hull system for the best levels of safety. It then features a great deck design that has a large kayak cockpit area. The deck of the kayak features a round kayak storage hatch on the front and a good sized rear tank well on the rear. There is then an additional kayak storage hatch in the centre of the kayak, this is positioned to be easily accessible while paddling the kayak. There is then a moulded in seat unit that has a high positioned back for support and comfort, further support is available from the mouded in kayak foot pegs. To gain greater levels of comfort and support you can always look at adding a padded kayak seat. When it comes to man handling the kayak on and off the car and also to and from the waters edge, this is quite easy due to the number of kayak grab handles.  There are grab handles on the bow and stern, these are ideal for when you are moving it with a friend. There is then moulded in carry handles on the sides, these are well balanced are are perfect for when you are moving it around on your own. When it comes to performing to the best levels you need to keep hydrated, this is easily achievable with the Kinetic 100 as just between the knees of the paddler there is a moulded in drinks bottle holder.

February Staff Newsletter

February was a busy month in the shop. As well as a number of reps coming to see us, and a number of visits to make, we also attended the Run, Walk, Crawl Brecon to Cardiff Ultra, and hosted a climbing shoe demo with Tenaya at local bouldering wall Spot Climbing. We still managed to get out, and members of Team Up and Under could be found in many parts of the UK; including in the Brecon Beacons, the Lakes, South Downs, Scotland, as well as further afield in Chamonix and George L still in Thailand.

January Staff Newsletter

January saw us starting to get into the swing of things again. A little snow saw many of the team in the Beacons, as well as further afield with trips to the Peak District, Cheddar Gorge and Pembrokeshire all squeezed in. New Years day allowed few of us to get out (even if the weather wasn't great in South Wales) but a number were in still Snowdonia and elsewhere where it was a little nicer.
