The following boats are all available at Up and Under Watersports at Cardiff Marine Village for trial on the river that flows past the site. You can contact Up and Under Watersports on 02920 227663 or email: watersports@upandunder.co.uk to arrange a date for demoing your chosen boats. Demoing will be available most wednesdays and saturdays (and sundays April through to September inclusive). As always they have been working hard and delivered several new boats for the 2010 paddling season. PyranhaPyranha Rebel Rapid / Pyranha Rebel ClubIn Mid December 2009 both of the Up and Under stores recieved the first delivery of the new Rebel Childs kayak. The Rebel is available in one size and two different specifications these two specs are either the Pyranha Rebel Rapid or the Pyranha Rebel Club. The Rebel club is the higher spec that offers a bulkhead footrest, padded seat, hip pads, securiity bars and also a multi colour finish, while the club version offers a pedal footrest, and lacks a seat pad and the security bars. This is then finihsedin a single colour scheme. Pyranha Burn 2010Arriving on the same delivery as the new Rebel, we also recieved the new 2010 Pyranha Burn . This is an evolution of this very popular classic, it has seen the following alterations:- more v in the front deck to give better resurfacing, raised and reprofiled front rocker to give better speed and more control over big drops, increased volume in the rear deck, and then a lowered knee area and hip area to improve control, a reprofiled area around the rescue pint for easier access and finally a recessed drain plug! All of these great improvements are then complimented by the Pyranha Connect 30 outfitting whichs offers great levels of comfort.
Pyranha have also added to there range of Centre / Club boats which now includes club versions of popular models such as the Pyranha G:3 Club and the Pyranha Acro Club
Pyranha Molan2010 will see Pyranha lauch there new playboat which this year will be called the Molan. (For those of you intersted, Molan means "Servant of the Storm") The Molan is a user friendly boat to paddle, it will flat spin and also link all those dynamic moves together to make you a playboating god! This will thenbe fitted with there legendry connect 30 fittings for maximum levels of comfort.
Feel FreeFeel Free Gemini2010 will see the new Gemini have its first summer season. The Gemini is a stage on from the already popular Feel Free Corona. Where the Corona is ideal for gentle coastal trips and a bit of light surfing for 2 - 3 people the Gemini offers just as much fun but it is all delivered in a more compact size. The new Gemini has seen some slight alterations that now give the boat a centre seat for solo paddling, a side carry handle to make it easier for loading and unloading, a centre seat for added capability of carrying a 3rd passenger and finally a recessed whell in the rear of the keel for ease of getting to the waters edge.
